About Me

I'm Dilara Albayrak. I'm a software developer and research engineer with a strong interest in computer graphics, simulation, and computer vision. My work integrates real-time technologies with research-oriented approaches, often bridging simulation, extended reality (XR), and artificial intelligence in both practical and research settings.

Recently finished an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Hull, where I studied graphics APIs, DirectX 11 and Vulkan and implemented C++ projects. My dissertation focuses on high-fidelity Moon terrain rendering using Vulkan. I've also worked on distributed simulations, shader-based terrain visualisation, and saliency studies in VR environments (by Unity) using Tobii eye-tracking. I enjoy working on technically challenging and creative projects.

Beyond development, I have a track record of contributing to EU-funded R&D projects, with a keen eye for combining robust engineering with academic exploration. I bring experience in technical writing, project leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration across the academy and industry. I’m always looking to contribute to meaningful and high-impact projects at the intersection of computer graphics, AI for vision systems, and immersive technologies.
